|ATHE 2020 Outstanding Article Award|
The Award for Outstanding Article acknowledges scholarship marked by methodological sophistication, complex and critical engagement with dramatic texts and/or performances, focused inquiries, and possible directions for future scholarship in a particular area. Nominated articles must have been published during the calendar year preceding the ATHE annual conference. (For instance, nominees for the 2020 Outstanding Article award should have a copyright date of 2019.)
Nominators should submit a statement of how the article addresses the above criteria and upload a digital copy of the article. Editors may submit up to, but no more than, one article per issue in a single awards cycle. Authors may nominate only one essay per award cycle. Self-nominations are permitted. ATHE membership is encouraged but not required of nominators and nominees. Early submissions are strongly encouraged.
The winner will be contacted in May and a public announcement will be made in early June. The awardee will receive $400 for conference registration and one night in the conference hotel.
The nomination period for the 2020 award is closed.
