to the field, sustained excellence during their career, innovative work that has established new frames of reference, support for diversity in theatre, and service and advocacy on behalf of fellow theatre artists. This year’s award recipient is:
Catherine Fitzmaurice
Catherine Fitzmaurice has taught, performed, and worked in fields related to theatre on six continents. She has shared her teaching concepts and methods widely; she has taught at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Juilliard, Yale School of
Drama, Shanghai Theatre Academy; coached Voice and Text at New York Shakespeare Festival, Stratford Canada, Guthrie Theatre; been directed by Robert Wilson, Molly Smith, Allen Fletcher; and continues to study human awareness and expression.
