2021 Conference Grant Request - Deadline extended to May 24

Session Grants

Grants are provided to those panels wishing to provide complimentary registration to someone who might not otherwise have access to ATHE. These are for non-affiliated members who may be guest artists or independent scholars, who otherwise do not have funding from an institution or would typically attend an ATHE Conference. 

Grants may also be provided for honorariums for speaker fees. Grants will not be provided for focus group debut panels, as those grants typically provide funding to off-set travel and hotel costs of debut panelists. If your situation is unique to your focus group, there is a category on the application for other requests.

Other Info and Requirements:

• The number of grants requested by a single focus group will be considered when determining complimentary conference registration to ensure that funding is equitable between focus groups. 
  
  
• Typically, these grants are not allotted to support attendance at the conference by individuals already affiliated with academic institutions. These grants have historically been allotted to support the attendance of individuals who would be less likely to attend a conference explicitly focused on theatre in higher education.

The 2021 Conference Committee will be forwarded the Grant Requests following the May 24, 2021 online submission deadline. Applicants will be notified of the funding decision no later than June 1, 2021.
