“Dreaming”of and Preparing for ATHE 2014 Conference in Scottsdale, AZ

As ATHE members create their session proposals by the November 1 deadline, thinking about funding issues is also top-of-mind for many graduate student members. Below is information to consider when making the decision to participate:

Conference Hotel - Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

ATHE has negotiated very affordable rates for this resort destination. It’s always best to book your hotel room early. You can do that on our website. Click on Conferences > Hotel.

Other cost savings include a total of $5,000 in refunded registration fees for graduate students through fellowships (50 students; $100 refund). Once conference registration opens in early April 2014, students registering for the conference can request consideration for a fellowship to work 3.5 hours at the conference and be reimbursed $100 post-conference.

ATHE staff, in coordination with the Graduate Student Subcommittee, will investigate possible low-cost food selections available in the conference hotel and in nearby locations.
