CFPanelist for proposed session - Retooling Faculty / Facing Trends

CFP – Retooling Faculty for an Evolving Educational Environment

Prof. Andrew Gaupp, University of Texas at Arlington, is looking for an additional panelist who would be interested in contributing to this proposed session, ideally someone from a smaller, liberal arts institutional perspective.

The title above is the working title for the proposal, and the draft of the session description is as follows:

Examining ways in which established faculty might keep current with new trends, including changes in  pedagogy, production methods, performance techniques, and integrating ways to encourage collaboration with other university research areas.

At this point, the panel members are:

Prof. Andrew Gaupp, University of Texas at Arlington

Dr. Linda Donahue, Texas Tech University

Prof. Kim LaFontaine, University of Texas at Arlington

Please contact Andrew Gaupp directly at gaupp@uta.edu .

I just spent (and am finishing) two years on our institution's Provost's Commission on the Undergraduate Experience, looking at curricular trends and serving as the...if you'll allow me..."token" representative from the arts on the commission. I'd be interested in sharing my experience and what we've learned about the changing trends and how theater can fit into that.

If there's any interest in my participation.
