ATHE continues to be a strong, effective and critical advocate for theatre and performance in higher education. Together, we create and sustain an intellectual and artistic center for producing new knowledge about theatre and performance-related disciplines, cultivating vital alliances with other scholarly and creative disciplines, linking with professional and community-based theatres, and promoting access and equity.

Effective April 15, 2015, the ATHE Governing Council has made the decision to implement a modest dues increase of $20 to the Full-Time Employed and Organizational Member Categories. All other categories will remain the same. The increase will help the organization sustain itself and continue to provide the benefits to which you are accustomed. This includes publications like Theater Journal, the cost of which has been going up marginally over recent years while we kept dues levels constant.
