So, You've Submitted a Proposal for ATHE 2015 – What Happens Now?

Proposals for 2015 conference sessions were due on November 1. If you submitted a session, you may be wondering what happens now.

During the rest of November, ATHE staff reviewed and collated proposals and forwarded them to appropriate committee chairs or focus group conference planners for review and ranking. Rankings were returned to the ATHE office on December 8.

ATHE staff will prepare a preliminary conference schedule for the conference committee’s review in early January. Once the committee has reviewed and approved the schedule, focus group conference planners and committee chairs will receive the list of scheduled sessions, and they will be instructed to notify session coordinators of a session’s acceptance or rejection by March 1. ATHE staff will notify session coordinators of proposed multi-disciplinary sessions.

Shortly after March 1, ATHE staff will begin work on the daily schedules in the conference marketing brochure, and session coordinators should inform session participants of the session’s acceptance or rejection. Session coordinators should be sure to remind participants that they must register for the conference in order to participate in the session.

Any final corrections for the ATHE 2015 onsite program book are due May 1, as is payment for any additional audiovisual equipment not covered by a grant. Answers to many questions can be found on the ATHE 2015 Proposal Process FAQ page, and you can always reach ATHE by e-mailing
