Cirque des Voix/Ci-rcus of Voices - VASTA Conference a Success!

VASTA had a wonderful conference in Montréal, Québec, Canada Aug 2- 5th this summer, following the ATHE Conference, which included a wide variety of celebrations of the human voice. Keynote Speaker, François Grisé, opened our ceremonies with "To speak ma langue.” Inuit throat singers Heidi Langille and Lynda Brown performed and gave workshops; ‘Clowns of Horror’ Mump and Smoot performed their internationally acclaimed ‘Something’ with a follow-up panel on vocal use and their particular brand of gibberish language; and Master teacher Judith Koltai, the founder of the integrative discipline Embodied Practice® gave workshops on “The Pleasure of the Text.” We hope you will all consider attending our next annual conference in Chicago, IL Aug 8-11, 2016.
