The Strategic Planning Committee Wants Your Input
The Strategic Planning Committee of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education is working hard to meet the President’s goal of making ATHE a leader in higher education for everyone! Committee members are evaluating possible action steps for each of the 6 goals of the plan in relationship to concerns members have concerning the state of the theatre education during a crisis in the humanities. ATHE Updating Creative Leadership Handbook
ATHE’s Governing Council has endorsed a proposal by the Professional Development Committee to produce a new handbook on academic leadership for theatre departments. Since 2001, Creative Leadership: A Handbook for Theatre Department Chairs has been distributed to all participants in the ATHE Leadership Institute ®. The Handbook has been central to defining the personal qualities and resources necessary for strong departmental leadership. Read more.

ATHE Announces Nominees for Member-at-Large Position
Chase Waites, the Member-at-Large for Outreach, is pleased to announce the nominees for Member-at-Large, Liaison to the Focus Group Representatives. The Member-at-Large, Liaison to the Focus Group Representatives, serves as a point of contact for concerns that the ATHE Governing Council has for the Focus Group Representatives and communication liaison from the Focus Group Representatives to the Governing Council. Three people will stand for election for this important position. Read more.
