Gail Humphries Mardirosian is in her fifth year as Chair of the Department of Performing Arts, American University, Washington, D.C. She has served ATHE as a mentor in the Leadership Institute, as Chair and Conference planner for the Theatre as a Liberal Arts focus group, and on the Finance, Nominating, and Advocacy committees.

The Vice President for Professional Development heads the Professional Development Committee.
