Bill Doan is professor of theatre and Associate Dean of Fine Arts at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He has served as ATHE’s Treasurer and Chair of Finance for the past two years. He has been an active member of ATHE since 1986. For most of those years, he was primarily involved with the TLA focus group and helped to plan TLA’s first collegium on creativity. Bill teaches courses in theatre history, dramatic literature, and directing for both undergraduate and graduate students. He also directs productions at Miami University and is committed to scholarly work. He is the co-author of Prophets, Performance and Power, published in the fall of 2005 by T&T Clark. With Terry Giles, he is currently writing, Twice-Used Songs: Performance Criticism of the Songs of Ancient Israel, also to be published by T&T Clark.
The Treasurer chairs the Finance Committee .
