Sara Warner is Assistant Professor of Theater at Cornell University, where she also teaches in the Feminist, Gender and Sexuality Studies Program and the Lesbian, Bisexual and Gay Studies Program. She received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Rutgers University. Sara is currently working on two manuscripts. The first, Funny Feelings, examines the political affects of radical lesbian and queer performance. The second, Mythic Proportions: The Medea Project's Theater for Incarcerated Women, looks at the role of performance in restorative justice projects. Sara's work appears in Theatre Journal, Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism, Feminist Studies, Dialectical Anthropology, and Nineteenth Century Prose. In addition to chairing the Electronic Technology Committee, Sara is the Immediate Past President of the Women and Theatre Program, the former Drama Division Delegate for the MLA, and a current member of the board of directors of the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies (CLAGS). Sara's research interests include dramatic literature and performance studies, theater and social change, theories of gender and sexuality, affect studies, and instructional technology.
