As ATHE explores, fosters, and sustains new and better ways to think and do theatre, the Theory and Criticism Focus Group seeks to sharpen the critical tools ATHE members use to conceptualize, evaluate, and pursue that mission. Our primary objective is to offer a space to examine some of the main theoretical lenses scholars and practitioners employ to analyze performance.  In addition, we actively seek to encourage and participate in multidisciplinary dialogues across the fields of performance scholarship.
