Association for Asian Performance

For more information about the Association for Asian Performance, click here to send an e-mail to the AAP leadership.Association for Asian Performance

The Association for Asian Performance was founded in 1987 as a forum for scholars and practitioners to exchange and augment information about Asian theatrical performance.  AAP promotes the development of new scholarship in the field, both in print through the Asian Theatre Journal and orally at ATHE and at our own conference the day prior to ATHE.  We sometimes speak to an audience of specialists, but we also consider it essential to introduce and explain Asian performance forms to anyone interested in studying, teaching, or viewing them.  If you would like to join AAP and reap the many benefits of membership, please contact our Membership & Outreach Coordinator, David Jortner, at djortner@allegheny.edu or our Secretary/Treasurer, Kevin J. Wetmore, Jr., at kwetmore@lmu.edu. Our website can be found at http://www.yavanika.org/aaponline/.
