Producing a big melodrama - panelists for roundtable needed 0 B. Davis, Wake Forest University Our department has discussed producing an authentic, large, spectacle melodrama with period staging, live musical underscoring etc. off and on for several years. We would love to do this, but seem to get bogged down by the size and cost of the enterprise.  Have any of you tackled a similar project?  If so, would you be interested in sharing your experiences in a round table? Or, are contemplating such a project and have some good ideas?    Thoughts about production sharing (joint production between more than one theatre), timelines, funding, community and cross-campus involvement, design strategies (building/special effects as lab/classroom projects, painting drops during the summer)?    Please contact us directly ASAP.
