The Theatre History focus group invites submissions for its debut panel from
scholars who have not yet published articles or presented at a national
conference. Papers must address the history of theatre practice, but an
active engagement with theory and/or dramatic literature is welcome.

Submissions are evaluated by a jury of theatre scholars, and the top three papers will be presented at the annual ATHE meeting.

The judges for 2005 were Professors Barbara Grossman (Tufts University), Stacy Wolf (University of Texas at Austin), and Alan Sikes (Florida State University).

The deadline for the 2008 conference is past; watch this site for a submission deadline for 2009.

Papers should be an appropriate length for a 15- or 20-minute presentation (that is, around 8 pages).
Send FOUR copies of your complete paper and a cover sheet to the THFG Vice-Chair (to be elected at the San Francisco meeting).
Do NOT put your name on the paper.
On the cover sheet, include the title of your paper, your name, address, telephone, and email address.
