Kristin Sosnowsky, Co-Director
Kristin Sosnowsky serves as Interim Dean of the Louisiana State University College of Music and Dramatic Arts, where she is also Senior Associate Dean for Finance and Operations, Chair of the Department of Theatre, and Managing Director of Swine Palace, a professional Equity theater company on the LSU campus. Since her arrival at LSU in 2001, she has produced over 35 major productions including COCKTAIL, which was featured as part of the United States national exhibit at the 2011 Prague Quadrennial. Professor Sosnowsky spearheaded the establishment of an arts administration concentration as part of the B.A. in Theatre degree program. She has been the recipient of the Brij Mohan Distinguished Professorship; a Tiger Athletic Undergraduate Teaching Award and the Phi Kappa Phi Non‐Tenured Faculty Award in the Creative and Performing Arts and in 2008 was named an LSU “Rainmaker.” Professor Sosnowsky earned a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Management from the Yale University School of Drama, where she was awarded the Morris Kaplan Prize, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Delaware.
Jake Pinholster, Co-Director
Jake Pinholster is the associate dean for Policy and Initiatives in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, and project manager/facilitator of local, regional, and national projects, including the Herberger Design and Arts Corps, FilmSpark, creative placemaking initiatives, extended and professional education programs, and strategic partnerships with more than thirty partner organizations. As former director and professor in the School of Film, Dance and Theatre, Pinholster has been involved in a number of long-term initiatives that fuse technology, interdisciplinarity, and curricular innovation, and he heads two graduate programs in design and digital media. As a creative artist, Pinholster’s efforts have centered on projection and media design and technology for performance. He is an associate artist with Les Freres Corbusier, the resident video designer for the David Dorfman Dance company, and a consulting associate with SK Design and Consulting, specialists in performance facilities and systems for education. His professional media design credits include The Pee Wee Herman Show on Broadway, Carrie Fisher: Wishful Drinking (HBO), Current Nobody (Woolly Mammoth), and many other productions at off-Broadway, regional, and academic venues.

Michael Rohd, Executive Director, Center for Performance and Civic Practice
Michael Rohd is founding artistic director of Sojourn Theatre, a sixteen-year old ensemble-based company and a 2005 recipient of Americans for the Arts’ Animating Democracy Exemplar Award. He is the recipient of the 2015 Otto Rene Castillo Award for Political theater, and of the 2015 Robert Gard Foundation Award for Excellence. He devises and directs new work around the nation and is a founding Institute Professor in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University. He wrote the widely translated book Theatre for Community, Conflict, and Dialogue (15th printing, Heinemann Press, 1998). His work with CPCP Sojourn, and in non-arts sector settings around the nation focuses on social practice and civic practice cross-disciplinary projects through collaboratively designed arts-based engagement and participation strategies. He is the 2013-2016 Doris Duke Artist-in-Residence at Lookingglass Theater Company in Chicago. Recent/Current projects include leading a two year Sojourn Artist-in-Residence collaboration with Catholic Charities USA poverty reduction sites around the US; collaborations with Steppenwolf Theater, Bush Foundation, Lincoln Center, Singapore Drama Educators Association and Americans for the Arts; and, working with theaters and universities around the country to mount locally specific projects based on Sojourn's model performance/engagement process/production How To End Poverty in 90 Minutes.
Stacey Miller, Assistant Provost for Inclusion, Valparaiso University
As assistant provost for inclusion, Stacey Miller works closely with students, faculty, staff, and community members to advance diversity and equity as core values of Valparaiso University and as central to its educational mission. Formerly, she served as the director of residential life in the student affairs division at the University of Vermont, a position she held from 2003 to 2015. She is also the co-founder and managing partner for the Consortium for Inclusion and Equity (CIE) LLC, a small firm that specializes in integrated diversity education and consulting. During her career she has served as both an administrator in student affairs and lecturer for the University of Vermont’s higher education and student affairs (HESA) graduate program. She is nationally recognized for her work with affirmative recruitment of diverse staff and educational trainings and workshops on diversity and inclusion. She is also sought out for her knowledge and growing expertise in the use of restorative practices in collegiate residential settings, elementary, and secondary education. Stacey Miller received her doctorate of education in leadership and policy studies from the College of Education and Social Services at the University of Vermont and holds a Bachelor of Arts in social sciences and Master's of Arts in liberal studies from Stony Brook University. She also serves as a member of the board of trustees for the International Institute for Restorative Practices Graduate School in Bethlehem, Pa. Stacey currently lives in Valparaiso, IN and Vermont, commuting home regularly to visit her immediate family — wife Harriet Williams, Ed.D., son, Jelani, and daughter Taylor, who all live in Essex Junction.
Megan Sandberg-Zakian, Director, Artist, Consultant
Megan Sandberg-Zakian is a theater-maker based in Watertown, MA. As a freelance director, she has collaborated nationally and internationally from Kansas City to Maine to the Dominican Republic and Haiti. She is a current recipient of the Princess Grace Foundation Theatre Fellowship, working with Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) in Lowell, MA, as Director in Residence — nurturing, developing, and directing work that will premiere in MRT’s and other theatres’ upcoming seasons. Previously, Megan completed a TCG Future Leaders grant at Central Square Theater in Cambridge, MA, focusing on a constellation of development and production projects engaging artists, audiences, and local organizations, aimed at deepening the theater’s diversity and inclusion efforts. From 2005 to 2009, Megan was the Associate Director at The Providence Black Repertory Company, where she focused on audience and artist development, including establishing the First Look Reading Series for New Plays in Development and initiating Black Rep’s Affiliate Artist program, intended to provide local artists, particularly artists of color, with support, resources, and professional development opportunities. Previously, Megan was the Associate Artistic Director of The 52nd Street Project, a theater company dedicated to producing original plays created through collaborations between the youth of NYC’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and professional adult theater artists. In addition to her artistic practice, Megan works as an organizational consultant specializing in connecting arts organizations more deeply to their communities, and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives.
Dennis Barden, Senior Partner, Witt/Kieffer Executive Search
Dennis M. Barden, senior partner, joined the Witt/Kieffer team in 1998 after 20 years in academic administration. Dennis works extensively with boards, senior institutional leaders and search committees in support of searches for presidents/chancellors, chief academic officers, deans, and advancement and other leadership in both public and private institutions. He is particularly attuned to the delicate balance between the tenets of shared governance and the demands of a rapidly changing marketplace within higher education and the not-for-profit sector. Dennis has written extensively on the search process in higher education with a focus on the work of boards and search committees in times of change. Dennis began his administrative career at his alma mater, St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. He went on to serve on the staffs at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. He subsequently served 11 years at the University of Chicago, first as assistant dean of its law school and then as an assistant vice president. Dennis is a past chair of the American Council on Education’s Executive Search Roundtable and is a regular contributor to The Chronicle of Higher Education. He is a recipient of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education’s Steuben Apple Award for his outstanding performance in that organization’s international educational programs.
